Joanna R. Bruno
Joanna Bruno is founder and president of J.R. Bruno & Associates. She is a
long-time champion of small business development and is dedicated to providing
financial institutions and their communities with ways they can work together
for small business growth.
With more than 40 years of commercial lending experience – and known as a
nationwide force in Small Business Administration lending – Joanna Bruno has
a track record of helping business lenders establish and manage their SBA and
business lending divisions to profitability. She leads an experienced JRB
Team – each member a recognized specialist in their field – who have been
with the company for a cumulative 50 years. J.R. Bruno & Associates has
provided hundreds of financial institutions with services including total
outsourcing; underwriting; loan policy and procedure development; loan
processing; liquidations and portfolio management; efficiency reviews;
credit union MBL program guidelines and eligibility; PLP application and
expansion; staff training – and hands-on, day-to-day guidance.
Since founding J.R. Bruno & Associates in 1994 Joanna Bruno has helped
generate more than $500 million in loan originations for over 1,000 businesses
nationwide. Before forming J.R. Bruno, she held leadership positions at several
Southern California financial institutions, winning multiple top producer awards.
In 2010 she relocated JRB headquarters to San Francisco, Calif., and continues
to serve financial institutions across the country.
Joanna Bruno is a founding member of the National Association of Government
Guaranteed Lenders (NAGGL). In 2009 the organization honored her as NAGGL Leader
in SBA Lending and NAGGL Exhibitor & Supporter of the Year. She also maintains
memberships in a variety of financial trade organizations. As an Advocate for
Economic Action, she continues to advocate for small businesses and women in
business, working with legislators, regulatory agencies, bank and credit union
trade associations and women’s organizations at the local, state and national
levels. She is a frequent speaker at industry conferences.

Bradford S. Crosley
Brad Crosley is a Senior Associate with J.R. Bruno &
Associates. With more than 30 years of commercial lending
experience and expertise in virtually every aspect of
commercial lending, he’s responsible for clients’ SBA staff
training, loan application packaging and processing, lender
preparation for PLP audits, quality control for internal
auditing, third-party policies and procedures reviews, and workflow analysis.
Brad Crosley has produced profitable results for financial institutions across the
country, leading the JRB Team in training more than 200 lenders on the
principles of SBA lending. Under his direction, the Team has also reviewed
the portfolios of more than 30 lenders to ensure compliance with
SBA regulations.
Before joining J.R. Bruno, Brad Crosley served as Area Vice President/Senior
Commercial Loan Officer for The Money Store Investment Corporation in
Irvine, Calif. where he developed a commercial lending division with a strong
focus on customer relations. The branch became No. 1 SBA lender in the
district, the No. 1 volume branch in the company, and Branch of the Year.
Brad Crosley was responsible for generating loans exceeding $312 million to more
than 540 firms.
As Assistant Vice President/Branch Manager of Southwest Bank in Laguna
Beach, Calif. he was responsible for decreasing loan losses by 75%. He also
reduced annual staff turnover from 144% to 20%, earning the Avis Award
for "Most Improved Branch." Brad Crosley has also served as an intermediary
for the Los Angeles Community Development Bank and as an intermediary
for the Small Business Administration's (SBA) Pre-Qualification Program.
Active in many SBA-sponsored programs, he most recently served on the
SBA's Orange County District Office Small Business Week Committee. In
addition, he’s received extensive CEDLI, CDFI, COIN, and B&I lending training,
and has served as a judge for California State University at Fullerton's
Entrepreneur Institute.
